Health/Veterinary Care Release

You are solely responsible for your pet’s veterinary care. If your pet has any allergies to food, shampoos, or colognes, you must make us aware prior to the groom. You understand and agree that Boujee Besties Pet Salon LLC does not provide veterinary services. You understand that grooming can be stressful for your pet. You understand that Boujee Besties Pet Salon LLC is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or death of or to your pet from conditions not disclosed to us that could be exacerbated by any grooming services.

Minor Accidents Release

Working with animals is never predictable, and if a situation should arise where your pet has a minor accident or injury you hereby authorize Boujee Besties Pet Salon LLC to provide basic first aid to relieve the pain or stop any bleeding using a septic powder, or gel or other natural remedies. Please know that I would never purposefully put your pet in harm's way and will do everything possible to provide a safe grooming session. Minor Accidents can occur during nail trimming, ear plucking, the use of shears, bathing, and shaving including shaving a severely matted coat. When animals wiggle, jerk, or thrash during these services, it may be difficult to safely maneuver equipment away from snipping your pet's coat, ears, face, or cut nail quicks. Basic first aid will always be applied upon these minor accidents or injuries and once contained, you will be notified immediately. Please read the emergency medical treatment release below for more serious injuries or accidents that can occur during your pet’s grooming. You hereby release Boujee Besties Pet Salon LLC from any unrelated injuries that occur outside of your pet's service.

Emergency Medical Treatment Authorization Release

Working with animals is never predictable, and if a situation should arise where I feel veterinary attention outside of basic first aid is needed, you hereby authorize medical treatment for your pet to the nearest available veterinarian clinic. (example: West Central Vet Clinic/Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital) In the event that Boujee Besties Pet Salon LLC incurs any costs, fees, or expenses arising from, or relating to, your pet’s need for veterinary care during your pet’s grooming appointment, being that they are unrelated to incidents during your pet’s service, you will promptly reimburse Boujee Besties Pet Salon LLC for the same upon request via.

 

Senior Pets (10 years +) Release

You understand that your pet is a senior. You are aware that grooming can cause stress that can exacerbate or expose new problems, or even lead to a serious medical event or death in senior pets. You release Boujee Besties Pet Salon LLC from liability should any problem/medical issue occur that is unrelated to minor accidents that may occur during your pet’s service.

Pregnant or In-Heat Females Release 

Grooming a pregnant animal is not a standard practice and can cause stress that can exacerbate or expose new problems such as early labor, and miscarriage. It is recommended to wait at least 14 days after they have given birth to schedule a bath or grooming appointment to ensure there are no complications postpartum. Animals in heat may come in for service as long as they aren't excessively bleeding. It is typically advised to wait until they are close to the end of their cycle to schedule services. Please bring clean pet diapers with you for your pet’s groom. You release Boujee Besties Pet Salon LLC from liability should any problem/medical issue occur to pregnant or in-heat animals.

 

Release for shaving Double-Coated/Short-Haired Breeds

It is my professional recommendation that double-coated or short-haired breeds are not shaved due to “excessive shedding.” Double-coated breeds rely on their undercoats to help protect them during cold weather and can be naturally and safely removed during warmer weather on a regular grooming schedule for a de-shedding treatment. A dog’s undercoat typically regrows within 4 - 6 weeks and it is recommended to schedule a de-shedding service before your pet’s undercoat becomes impacted or matted. Shaving their top coat exposes their skin to harmful sun rays causing them to be at a higher risk for sunburn, skin cancer, a serious medical event, or even death. For the dog’s safety and protection from the sun and skin cancer, I reserve the right to refuse any unnecessary shave-down for double-coated or short-hair breeds. If an agreement is made to have your double-coated or short hair breed shaved for any reason, you understand that Boujee Besties Pet Salon LLC is not liable for any illnesses or medical treatment that may arise from my service as I have provided you with this written statement as proof that shaving a double coated or shorthair breed is not recommended.

 

Release for Severely Matted Pets

Every effort is made to protect your pet’s skin and coat while removing the hair that has become matted. The safety and comfort of your pet are my top priority. A pet’s coat that has not been attended to for a long period of time may become extremely sensitive and incur clipper marks, abrasions, rashes, nicks, itchiness, or redness. Shaving extremely matted ears might also encourage head shaking causing hematomas. You as the owner, agree to in no way hold Boujee Besties Pet Salon LLC responsible for any problems resulting from the grooming of your matted pet as the stress from your pets neglected coat is not my doing nor reason to put fault onto myself or my company. Additional charges on top of regular grooming fees may apply to pets that are severely matted.

 

Behavior Issues Release

Boujee Besties Pet Salon LLC reserves the right to refuse service on some pets if I feel they will be best served in a veterinary facility. If I accept to groom any animals with behavioral issues, charges will be set in accordance with their behavior. In the grooming process, every effort is made to make your pet as comfortable as possible. I do not muzzle or heavily restrain your pet unless completely necessary for safety. If your pet is behaving badly,  bites me ( a true bite, not a nip) or is uncooperative, the groom will not continue, and full-service payment will be due upon pick-up. A make-up day may be scheduled within the same week to complete the groom if I feel I can continue to safely work with your pet and this day will be agreed upon by both myself and the client to meet satisfaction. 

 

 Drop off Procedures

 

I provide by-appointment one-on-one services only. On the day of your appointment, please do not arrive more than 5 mins earlier than your appointment time slot as I may still be with another client’s pet, on my break, or preparing and sanitizing my station for you. Please park in my driveway during drop-off, I will always leave plenty of space for you. I live on a semi-busy street, therefore, for your pet's safety, they must be on a leash, carried, or brought in a crate when you arrive. Please come inside to check in + drop your pet off for their groom.

 

Late Arrival Policy

 

I will text you if you are more than 5 minutes late for your appointment, and will call you after 10 minutes. If you are more than 15 mins late to your appointment without a phone call or text message your appointment will be canceled and you will be charged a no-show fee of 50% of your appointment scheduled. Please see the cancelation policy below for more details.

 

Pick Up Policy

The estimated time for completion of services can last between 30 minutes - 2.5 hours per bath/groom depending on your pet's breed, behavior, and coat condition. I will give you at least 15 - 30 minutes’ notice prior to your pet's completion of service and expect a response with an estimated time of arrival for pick-up if you expect to be late. Please do not  arrive earlier than up to 5 minutes earlier than I provide your pet's completion. Arriving earlier than the estimated time for pick up can cause your pet to become overly excited, or anxious when they see you and can be dangerous if I am still completing any finishing touches with my blade or shears as my equipment is sharp and can cause an unnecessary injury.

 

For pick up, please follow the same procedures as drop off: Do not arrive more than 5 mins earlier than the time I estimate for your pet to be complete, please park on my driveway, and be prepared to walk your pet back to your vehicle with them on a leash, or brought back in a crate for their safety.  If there is an emergency that puts you in a situation where your pet needs to be picked up before services are complete, please CALL ME ahead of time, so that I can safely prepare your pet for pick up. Emergency incomplete services will still need to be paid in full on pick up however a "Finish Groom" appointment can be rescheduled for up to a week at no additional cost to you to complete.

 

Late-Pick Up Policy

It is your responsibility as the pet owner to pick up your pet on time as I may have clients immediately after you and only accept 1 client at a time. I will give you 15 - 30 minutes' notice prior to your pet's completion. If you expect to be more than 30 minutes late for pick up, you must call or text me when I send a 'pupdate' to avoid late pick up charges of up to $25/hour additional added to your invoice.

 

Cancellation & Reschedule Policy

My system will send you an automatic text reminder 3 days prior to your appointment and await your confirmation. If your appointment has not been confirmed within 30 hours, another automatic text reminder will be sent to you. You must reply with Y to confirm, N to cancel, or R to reschedule. Failure to confirm your appointment at least 24 hours prior will result in the immediate cancellation of your appointment and 50% of your appointment scheduled will be owed prior to scheduling your next appointment to serve as a cancellation/no-show fee. Rescheduling requests must be made within 24 hours to avoid a no-show fee. If you cancel or reschedule several appointments over the course of a few months you will be required to pay a 100% nonrefundable deposit for future appointments, or refused future service. If your appointment is canceled or rescheduled on the day of, you will be required to pay a 75% nonrefundable fee for the scheduled service, excluding legitimate emergencies.  If your pet is vomiting, coughing, sneezing, or has had diarrhea within the past 24 hours, you must reschedule. Medical emergencies such as genuine illnesses are excused from cancellation fees. I reserve the right to refuse service for this and any other reason, including repeat offenders for multiple canceled, or rescheduled appointments.

 

Payments of Services Policy

Payment is due upon pick up the day service is performed. Deposits are required for repeat policy offenders for multiple canceled or rescheduled appointments. Acceptable payment types are Cash, Debit Card via Square, or Venmo. I DO NOT accept checks, money orders, or I-O-Us.

 

Work Station

You understand that due to business insurance and liability, you are not allowed to be in or near the workstation during your pet's grooming service for any reason. My salon is monitored by surveillance cameras 24/7. Every groom is also recorded from start to finish.

 

Complaint Procedures

All pets are groomed to American Kennel Club breed standards unless specifically requested otherwise. If you are not 100% completely satisfied with my grooming service, please contact me within 24 hours of the grooming, and I will do my best to resolve your issue.  I do not tolerate harassment, disrespect, or threats made in person, via text, by calling, or online. I reserve the right to refuse your service for this and any other reason.

Photo Release

Before and after photos  and/or video will be taken of your pet throughout their groom and an after 'Glam Shot' will be shared with you via digital copy. By using my service, you hereby release any photos I may take of your pet for advertisement on my website, business cards, social media platforms, or brochures.
